Walt Disney Records released the Zootopia soundtrack which features score by Oscar-winning composer, Michael Giacchino and the end-credit song "Try Everything" performed by Grammy-winning artist Shakira. Zootopia,a comedy-adventure directed by Byron Howard ("Tangled," "Bolt") and Rich Moore ("Wreck-It Ralph," "The Simpsons") and co-directed by Jared Bush ("Penn Zero: Part-Time Hero"), opened in theaters on March 4, 2016.
The modern mammal metropolis of Zootopia is a city like no other. Comprised of habitat neighborhoods like ritzy Sahara Square and frigid Tundratown, it's a melting pot where animals from every environment live together—a place where no matter what you are, from the biggest elephant to the smallest shrew, you can be anything. But when optimistic Officer Judy Hopps arrives, she discovers that being the first bunny on a police force of big, tough animals isn't so easy. Determined to prove herself, she jumps at the opportunity to crack a case, even if it means partnering with a fast-talking, scam-artist fox, Nick Wilde, to solve the mystery.
Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino marks his first-ever feature collaboration with Walt Disney Animation Studios for "Zootopia." Featuring an 80-piece orchestra and conductor Tim Simonec, Giacchino's score reflects the diversity of the world.

Rock n Roll Hall of Famer Richie Furay Back With "Hand in Hand" Album
Before Buffalo Springfield, Richie Furay began performing with Stephen Stills in the nine-member
group, the Au Go-Go Singers, the house band at the famous Café Au Go-Go in NYC. It was a result of their performances that lead Richie and Stephen to join up with Neil Young, Bruce Palmer and Dewey Martin to form Buffalo Springfield.
After a ground breaking, musical genre creating three year run with Buffalo Springfield, Richie stepped away to form and lead the seminal country rock band, POCO. Along with Rusty Young, Jimmy Messina and future Eagle, Randy Meissner, Poco's first album, Pickin' Up the Pieces established the standard for other Country Rock acts to follow, including The Eagles. Poco went on to record many more albums, six records with Richie, before he, at the urging of Geffen Records president and talent manager, David Geffen, joined together with Chris Hillman and JD Souther to form the Souther, Hillman and Furay Band. They recorded two albums, the first went Gold and produced a Top 20 Single.

Boz Scaggs to Release "A Fool To Care" Album in March
Boz Scaggs has announced that he will release his new studio album A Fool To Care on March 31, 2015, via 429 Records. Another spellbinding album in a prolific career, this new collection of songs boasts Scaggs' pioneering blend of rock, soul, jazz and R&B taken to new heights A Fool To Care is the follow-up to the critically acclaimed 2013 album Memphis, which Rolling Stone described as 'sublime' and hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Blues Chart and the Top 20 on the Billboard 200. You can listen to the first track off the album "Last Tango on 16th Street" which premiered today, below.
A Fool To Care showcases the patchwork of influences and innovations that make up a Boz Scaggs album…and sees Scaggs letting loose and having some fun. You can hear that sense of fun, as well as his ability and willingness to wander in any musical direction throughout these twelve tracks. The inspirational heart of the album lies in the sounds of Texas, Louisiana and Oklahoma that played such a vital role in shaping Scaggs' musical sensibility, but they venture forth boldly from there. Scaggs brings a sly drawl to a funky workout like Li'l Millet and the Creoles' "Rich Woman" and an elegant delicacy to the Impressions' "I'm So Proud." He easily negotiates the Latin flavoring of "Last Tango on 16th Street" and "I Want to See You," both written by San Francisco bluesman (and longtime Scaggs compatriot) Jack Walroth. Horns, strings, soulful background vocalists and guests like guitarist Reggie Young and steel guitarist Paul Franklin lift the album into the stratosphere.

Produced by Steve Jordan (Stevie Nicks, Bob Dylan, John Mayer) and recorded over four days at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, A Fool To Care features two very special guests – Bonnie Raitt contributes slide guitar and sassy vocals on the original song "Hell To Pay" and Lucinda Williams trades vocal lines with Scaggs as a kind of prayer for deliverance on The Band's "Whispering Pines." The core band joining Boz on A Fool To Care is Willie Weeks (bass), Ray Parker Jr. (guitars), Jim Cox (keyboard) and Steve Jordan (drums).

Classic American Ballads Presents Songs Of True Tales And Tragedies By Guthrie, Seeger, Lead Belly + More

The 25 tracks on Classic American Ballads, written between 1836 and 1947, chronicle tragic and significant events such as the sinking of the Titanic, the wreck of the “Old 97” train in Danville, Virginia, and the murder of a young girl along the Ohio River. Woody Guthrie’s “Billy the Kid” narrates the exploits of the notorious 19th-century outlaw, while Pete Seeger’s “Young Charlotte” tells the tale of the young Maine woman who froze to death on New Year’s Eve, 1840. Lead Belly’s version of the popular folk song “Duncan and Brady” is based on the notorious story of James Brady, a St. Louis policeman who was fatally shot by bartender Harry Duncan in 1890.

NPR Premieres “The Eye” from Brandi Carlile’s ATO Debut Album“The Firewatcher’s Daughter”
NPR Music has recently premiered “The Eye”, a new track off of Brandi Carlile‘s upcoming album The Firewatcher’s Daughter, out March 3 on ATO Records. The album is Carlile’s first on ATO, and first on an indie label, order now from B&T. Watch the video for “The Eye” below.
‘The Firewatcher’s Daughter’ was recorded almost entirely as first takes without any demoing and little rehearsal before gathering at Bear Creek Studio in Washington State. The result is immediate and electrifying. “The Eye,” a song influenced by Crosby, Stills and Nash, is so intimate and hushed you can hear the quiver of Brandi’s voice in a flawless 3-part harmony. Lead-off track and first single “Wherever Is Your Heart” captures a fiery intensity.

Noel Gallaher's High Flying Birds to Release "Chasing Yesterday" on March 3
Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds will release their second album entitled Chasing Yesterday on March 3, 2015 via Sour Mash Records. The album will be available on CD, Deluxe CD, vinyl, and and can be pre-ordered via Baker & Taylor. Check out, below, the video for the albums single "In The Heat Of The Moment."
Chasing Yesterday marks a new chapter and sound for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. It's the first album to be produced as well as written by Noel and features a much broader array of instrumentation than ever before; the result is a rich, expansive and multi-layered record, drawing from a range of disparate influences - from west coast rock to classic rock'n'roll and even some space jazz (!) - whilst still being very obviously a completely cohesive body of work.
