Macbeth Arrives on DVD/BD on March 8

The critically acclaimed interpretation of one of literature's most famous and compelling characters Macbeth, directed by Justin Kurzel (The Snowtown Murders, The Turning, upcoming Assassin's Creed), and starring Academy Award nominee Michael Fassbender (12 Years a Slave, X-Men franchise) and Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard (La Vie en Rose, The Dark Knight Rises, Contagion, Inception), arrives March 8 on Blu-ray and DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment. Produced by Academy Award winners Iain Canning and Emile Sherman of The King’s Speech, and Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes with a 79% critics rating, this film attracts genre enthusiasts and movie fans alike.

Macbeth (Fassbender), Duke of Scotland, receives a prophecy from a trio of witches that one day he will become King of Scotland. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his wife Lady Macbeth (Cotillard), Macbeth murders his king and takes the throne for himself.

Macbeth will be available on Blu-ray and DVD from Anchor Bay Entertainment for the suggested retail price of $26.99 and $22.98, respectively, and includes a Q&A with Michael Fassbender and a “Making Macbeth” featurette.
