Tedeschi Trucks Band Preps "Live From the Fox Oakland" Video, Album Release

On March 17th, 2017 Tedeschi Trucks Band will release their second live album and first ever 'Live From The Fox Oakland' on Fantasy Records. Led by the husband-and-wife duo of guitar master Derek Trucks and singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi, the 12-piece ensemble's breathtaking live show is captured here over 15 blistering tracks. The film also features extensive behind the scenes footage, including Derek's recent visit to Marc Maron's garage for the WTF! Podcast (http://bit.ly/2jDCZAN), and an interview with Derek and Susan conducted by Rolling Stone critic David Fricke for SiriusXM Satellite Radio.
concert film,

Filmed and recorded in a single night, September 9th, 2016, at Oakland, CA's gorgeous Fox Theater, the concert film and audio were mixed using a vintage Neve console to achieve an exquisitely immersive sound experience, and mastering guru Bob Ludwig added his craft to the full 5.1 surround sound mix and album audio. The film was produced and directed by Jesse Lauter (Bob Dylan In The 80s: Volume One) and Grant James (Father John Misty) with Trucks continuing in his role as producer on all music elements. 'Live From The Fox Oakland' will be released in multiple formats including vinyl, DVD and Blu-ray. The collection includes cuts from Tedeschi Trucks Band's 2016 album 'Let Me Get By' as well as TTB's own interpretations of Leonard Cohen's "Bird on the Wire" and Bobby "Blue" Bland's "I Pity the Fool," two songs which feature the full range and power of Tedeschi's vocals. On Derek and the Dominos' "Keep On Growing" it's Trucks' guitar work that grabs the spotlight for a stunning extended solo. Watch the full 10-minute powerhouse performance here, below. In another memorable segment, sarod master Alam Khan joins TTB onstage for the first time on their original song "These Walls." This genre-defying moment reveals TTB's classical Indian influences and proves the 12-piece ensemble can drop their sound down to a whisper when it serves the song.

Tedeschi Trucks Band Out With "Let Me Get By" on 1/29

On January 29, 2016 the Tedeschi Trucks Band, led by the husband-and-wife team of singer-guitarist Susan Tedeschi and guitar virtuoso Derek Trucks, will cap an extraordinary and transformative year with the release of Let Me Get By, their third full-length album and debut for Fantasy Records. Listen to the lead album track "Anyhow” below from B&T.

In addition, the special, 2-Disc deluxe version of Let Me Get By includes an 8-track bonus disc featuring live recordings from the legendary Beacon Theatre in New York City, alternate mixes, early song takes and additional studio material, along with an expanded booklet containing exclusive studio and live photos, all housed in a custom-designed vintage amp box (photo attached). The 10-track standard version and 18-track deluxe version are both available for pre-order

Recorded at Swamp Raga Studios, the band’s home studio in Jacksonville, Florida, Let Me Get By is an absorbing, self-assured, artistic leap forward. Playing with an economy of power and uncommon grace, the 12-piece outfit—one of the most deeply skilled and admired musical ensembles in the world—explores themes of independence, love and release.

Let Me Get By is an album of firsts; in addition to being the first TTB record Trucks produced on his own, and the first on which he and Tedeschi wrote all the songs within the TTB family, it’s Trucks’ first album since his 15-year run as a member of the Allman Brothers concluded when the group disbanded last year. In Trucks’ own words, "That’s what I hear in the music on this new album - this feeling that we’re now putting 100% of what we have into this band, not going back to anything else, everyone giving it their all.”

Richard Thompson Announces "Still" , Tweedy Produced, Album

Richard Thompson is the kind of guitar player other guitar players revere. It’s not just his technique, nor the fact that he’s equally at home with an electric or an acoustic guitar. He’s also a songwriter of uncommon skill.”—NPR

Renowned guitarist and songwriter Richard Thompson will release Still, an album of new music produced by Jeff Tweedy, on June 23, 2015 via Fantasy Records (part of the Concord Music Group).
Still will be available in several configurations including a twelve-track CD, a twelve-track double 180-gram vinyl album and a deluxe CD package that includes a five-song EP from a previously un-released session, all available from B&T.

Still was recorded in a two-story rehearsal loft in Chicago over the course of just nine days with Wilco’s Jeff Tweedy at the helm, backed by several longtime players from both Thompson’s and Tweedy’s bands.  "Richard's been one of my favorite guitar players for a very long time,” said Tweedy. "When I think about it, he's also one of my favorite songwriters and favorite singers. He's the Ultimate Triple Threat. Getting to work closely with him on this record was a truly rewarding experience, not to mention a great thrill.  And he keeps alive my streak of working exclusively with artists who make me look good as a producer."
