Gucci Mane's back with "Everybody's Looking"

Atlantic recording artist Gucci Mane has announced today’s release of his hugely anticipated new album. “EVERYBODY LOOKING” – the iconic rapper’s first studio album in half a decade – is available now.

“EVERYBODY LOOKING” was recorded in Atlanta over six days immediately following Gucci’s early release from prison last May. Due to an overwhelming response from his fans on the release of “1st Day Out Tha Feds,” Gucci decided to surprise supporters with a brand new album he recorded while on home confinement. The album is produced by Mike WiLL Made-It (Future, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign) and Zaytoven (Usher, Nicki Minaj), with additional production from Murda Beatz (Migos, Young Thug), Marz & Swae Lee (Rae Sremmurd, BeyoncĂ©), Pluss (BeyoncĂ©, Rae Sremmurd), Will A Fool (Future, Drake), and multiple GRAMMY Award nominee Christopher “Drumma Boy” Gholson (see attached tracklisting).

Among the countless highlights of “EVERYBODY LOOKING” is the new track, “Guwop Home (Feat. Young Thug),” available now. The track is joined by a colorful companion video, streaming now at Gucci’s official YouTube channel.

“Guwop Home (Feat. Young Thug)” received a slew of attention upon its release earlier this month, including notice from Pitchfork, MTV News, and Rolling Stone, which praised the track’s video for “(boasting) an overload of bikinis, producer Mike WiLL Made-It jamming out on his MPC poolside, stacks of cash and a scantily clad night soccer game, all to commemorate the release of the Trap God.”

In support of Gucci Mane’s highly anticipated release, Spotify and the legendary rapper have joined forces to build a one-of-a-kind multi-platform marketing campaign around the launch. Spotify and Gucci are giving hip-hop fans unprecedented access to exclusive video content that gives them an inside look into his life and the making of "EVERYBODY LOOKING."

“I’ve had the concept for this album in my mind for years,” Gucci states. “The reception from my fans has been so overwhelming, that I knew I had to do something different for this release. I did not want to roll out this project the traditional way. I wanted to partner with Spotify to do something innovative and groundbreaking.”

Additionally, Spotify will speak directly with Gucci fans through social media takeovers, custom playlists and more. This partnership lets Gucci engage with his rabid fan base and reach millions of new fans around the world.

Gucci celebrated the arrival of “EVERYBODY LOOKING” with “Gucci Mane & Friends,” his first full-scale live performance since his release, last Friday nite in Atlanta, GA’s world renowned Fox Theatre. The star-studded concert extravaganza – had see the Trap God joined by an array of surprise special guests – was live streamed exclusively online through Revolt TV

“EVERYBODY LOOKING” was preceded by a number of hugely popular track releases, including “Back On Road (Gucci Mane & Drake),” the Drumma Boy-produced “All My Children,” “No Sleep (Intro),” and “1st Day Out Tha Feds. The latter track proved a true pop phenomenon, earning close to 1 million SoundCloud plays within the first 12 hours of its May 27th release.

Widely ranked among the most gifted rappers of his generation, Gucci has been incredibly productive since his long incarceration; this highlighted in a major profile piece in the New York Times to run in this upcoming Sunday’s paper. Some of Gucci’s major moves since release include performing at a sold out “Welcome Home Party” at Atlanta’s Mansion Elan, appearing in a recent promo video for SUPREME, and contributing to the blockbuster new single, “Champions,” performed by Kanye West, Gucci Mane, Big Sean, 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Yo Gotti, Quavo & Desiigner; and announcing his new Delantic clothing line, with complete details to be revealed soon. As if that weren’t enough, Gucci was further greeted upon release with news of three new RIAA gold sales certifications for his classic 2009 album, “THE STATE VS. RADRIC DAVIS’ and its two hit singles, “Wasted” and “Spotlight (Feat. Usher).”
