Ida, Downton Abbey Seas 4, Frank and Others Win Indie Home Entertainment Awards

EMA, Entertainment Merchants Association,  today announced the winners of its 2015 Independent Home Entertainment Awards. The awards were given out during EMA’s 2015 Independent Product Market at the Marriott Marina del Rey in Marina del Rey, CA with Baker & Taylor's Scene & Heard AV management team in attendance.  The winners are:

Rental Title of the Year from an Independent Studio

Direct-to-Video/Limited Release Title of the Year from an Independent Studio

Mark Fisher, President and CEO of EMA stated, “It is a real pleasure to give these titles the recognition they deserve. They are excellent examples of the diversity of product from independent studios and the kind of quality entertainment that can be found beyond the multiplex.”  EMA’s Home Entertainment Awards winners were selected from a list of nominations by a vote of EMA retail and distributor members. The nominations reflect the rental and sell-through success of the title in both physical and digital formats. 
 
EMA’s Independent Product Market (IPM) is the premiere invitation-only hosted buyer event offering two-days of pre-scheduled meetings and networking opportunities for leading independent studios and the industry’s largest buyers. IPM was held April 21-22, 2015 at the Marriott Marina del Rey in Marina del Rey, California.
