St Vincent Announced for February Home Entertainment Release

Anchor Bay Entertainment and The Weinstein Company have announced the home entertainment release of Ted Melfi’s directorial and screenwriting debut, ST. VINCENT. The “charmingly warm and heartfelt” (Betsy Sharkey, Los Angeles Times) comedy features an all-star cast that includes Bill Murray, Melissa McCarthy, Naomi Watts, Chris O’Dowd, Terrence Howard, and introducing Jaeden Lieberher.

The highly praised and popular film has garnered numerous accolades including a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy; alongside a nomination for Bill Murray, Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. Naomi Watts was recognized with a Screen Actors Guild Awards nomination for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role. The Critics’ Choice Awards honored the film with a Best Comedy nomination, alongside nominations for the cast including Bill Murray, Best Actor in a Comedy; Melissa McCarthy, Best Actress in a Comedy; and Jaden Lieberher, Best Young Actor. 

ST. VINCENT will be available on  Blu-Ray and DVD on February 17, 2015.  The DVD will have a SLP of $29.98 and $34.99 on Blu-Ray. Special features include deleted scenes from the film and a Q&A with the one and only Bill Murray, the patron saint of comedy.


Maggie (Melissa McCarthy), a single mother, moves into a new home in Brooklyn with her 12-year old son, Oliver (Jaeden Lieberher). Forced to work long hours, she has no choice but to leave Oliver in the care of their new neighbor, Vincent (Bill Murray), a retired curmudgeon with a desire for alcohol and gambling. An odd friendship soon blossoms between the improbable pair. Together with a pregnant stripper, named Daka (Naomi Watts), Vincent brings Oliver along on all the stops that make up his daily routine - the race track, a strip club, and the local dive bar. Vincent helps Oliver grow to become a man, while Oliver begins to see in Vincent something that no one else is able to: a misunderstood man with a good heart.
