In The Hateful Eight, set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, a stagecoach hurtles
through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, Bounty Hunter John Ruth (Kurt Russell) and his gugitive Daisy Domergue (Jennifer Jason Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as “The Hangman,” will bring Domergue to justice.
Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Samuel L. Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Walton Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town’s new sheriff. Losing their lead in the blizzard, Ruth, Domergue, Warren and Mannix seek refuge at Minnie's Haberdashery, a stagecoach stopover on a mountain pass. When they arrive at Minnie’s, they are greeted not by the proprietor but by four unfamiliar faces. Bob (Demian Bichir), who’s taking care of Minnie’s while she’s visiting her mother, is holed up with Oswaldo Mobray (Tim Roth), the hangman of Red Rock, cow-puncher Joe Gage (Michael Madsen), and confederate general Sanford Smithers (Bruce Dern). As the storm overtakes the mountainside stopover, our eight travelers come to learn they may not make it to Red Rock after all…
And now, Verve has announced the track list for the 12/8/15 releasing Original Soundtrack (OST) for the 12/25 theatrical release of Quentin Tarantino's film, The Hateful Eight.

BURNT Soundtrack to Arrive in December
Lakeshore Records will release BURNT- Original Motion Picture Soundtrack on CD December 18, 2015. The album features the film’s original score by Rob Simonsen (THE AGE OF ADALINE, FOXCATCHER) and tracks by Barnes Courtney, Autograf, RY X, The Avener & John Lee Hooker,
plus the original track “Ode to a Sous Vide” performed by the film’s Bradley Cooper. The deluxe version contains one additional song, “Flashlight” by Bonobo.
“We wanted something elegant, but with movement,” said composer Simonsen. “A small chamber orchestra seemed to fit the bill, along with looped and treated sounds and electronics.” Simonsen wanted to cover a few bases in the score: “Emotional moments for budding romance or moments of tenderness, which is more about Adam softening, moments of tension where things were in jeopardy, and moments of the act of cooking/creating/celebrating.”
BURNT is about a chef, Adam Jones (Bradley Cooper), who had it all – and lost it. The former enfant terrible of the Paris restaurant scene had earned two Michelin stars and only ever cared about the thrill of creating explosions of taste. To land his own kitchen and that third elusive star though, Jones will need to leave his bad habits behind and get the best of the best on his side, including the beautiful Helene (Sienna Miller). BURNT is a remarkably funny and emotional story about the love of food, the love between two people, and the power of second chances.

TRUTH OST Arriving December 6
Varèse
Sarabande will release the TRUTH – Original Motion Picture Soundtrack
on CD
December 4, 2015. The album features original
music by composer Brian Tyler (AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, IRON MAN 3), whose
12-year relationship with the label includes the soundtracks for numerous films
including BATTLE: LOS ANGELES, CHILDREN OF DUNE, CONSTANTINE, FAST FIVE, INTO
THE STORM, and ANNAPOLIS.
“TRUTH is an exploration of the often fragile and tense relationship between journalism and politics and the humanity of pursuing the truth,” explained Tyler. The film is based on Mary Mapes' memoir Truth and Duty: The Press, the President, and the Privilege of Power detailing the 2004 CBS 60 Minutes report investigating the military service of then-President George W. Bush – a report which would ultimately cost her and anchor Dan Rather their careers. “The music strives to explore the tones of the newsroom, the politics of war, power, and the personal side of these elements.”
Brian Tyler is a composer and conductor of over 70 films and recently won Film Composer of the Year at the 2014 Cue Awards. Tyler composed blockbuster hits AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON, FURIOUS 7, IRON MAN 3, as well as THOR: THE DARK WORLD. He conducted the London Philharmonic at Abbey Road Studios for both films. He also scored EAGLE EYE for producer Steven Spielberg, and the box office hits FAST FIVE and FAST & FURIOUS for director Justin Lin. He was nominated for a 2014 BAFTA Games Award and was inducted into the music branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences in 2010.

FLEETWOOD MAC Readies Deluxe "Tusk" Release
Fleetwood Mac builds on its formidable legacy as one of rock's most legendary acts as they re-visit their most ambitious album with deluxe and expanded editions of TUSK. Originally released in 1979, the Grammy Award-nominated, double-album sold more than four million copies worldwide, climbed to #4 on the USA album charts, and introduced fans to hits like "Sara," "Think About Me," and the title track.
The announcement of this deluse set comes as the band; Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, continues it's acclaimed, sold out "On With The Show" world tour.
To follow the historic, global success of 1977's Grammy-Award winning Rumours, Fleetwood Mac chose to take a more experimental approach on Tusk. The most famous example has to be the unexpected and beloved inclusion of the University of Southern California's marching band on the title track.
TUSK will be available December 4, 2015 on Warner Bros.Records as a Deluxe Edition (5-CD/2-LP/1-DVD-A, $119.98), an Expanded Edition (3-CD, $24.98), and a single disc of the newly remastered original album ($11.98).

Bruce Springsteen ‘The Ties That Bind: The River Collection’ Box Set Announced
Columbia Records will release Bruce Springsteen’s ‘The Ties That Bind: The River Collection’ on December 4th. A comprehensive look at ‘The River’ era, the set contains 52 tracks on 4 CDs with a wealth of unreleased material, and four hours of never-before-seen video on 3 DVDs. It is comprised of the original ‘The River’ double album; the first official release of 'The River: Single Album;' a CD of 1979/80 studio outtakes; a two-DVD film of never-released, newly edited multi-camera footage from Springsteen’s famed 1980 show in Tempe, AZ, long rumored but never-before-seen; rare tour rehearsal footage; a brand new documentary “The Ties That Bind" about 'The River;' and a coffee table book of 200 rare or previously unseen photos and memorabilia with a new essay by Mikal Gilmore.
The River,’ Springsteen’s fifth album, was released on October 17, 1980 as a double album and reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard 200 chart. In his notes, Gilmore calls ‘The River’ Springsteen’s “pivotal album—[the] hinge between the ambitious commotions that had preceded it and the more succinct musical riots, and sometimes terrifying storytelling, that followed.” (Two CDs, recently re-mastered).
‘The River: Single Album’ is the 10-track album that Springsteen recorded in 1979 as a follow up to 1978’s ‘Darkness On The Edge Of Town’ but never released. “The songs lacked the kind of unity and conceptual intensity I liked my music to have. So we went back in the studio,” he wrote in the lyrics/photo book “Songs.” The early sessions marked the beginning of a prolific 18-month long journey of writing and recording. Seven of the 10 titles on ‘The River: Single Album’ eventually appeared on ‘The River,’ some with alternate lyrics and arrangements, with outtakes like “Cindy" and a rockabilly version of "You Can Look (But You Better Not Touch)" never released. Now for the first time ‘The River: Single Album’ will be officially available.
