"Billy Elliot : The Musical Live" Dances onto DVD, BD

A heartwarming story of a working-class boy in a British mining town who longs to dance, Billy Elliot: The Musical Live debuts on Blu-ray and DVD on October 13, 2015, from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. Based on the Oscar-nominated film, Billy Elliot: The Musical Live was filmed at the Victoria Palace Theatre in London's famed West End and features a soaring score by Sir Elton John (The Lion King, Aida) that captures all of the excitement, emotion and passion that has sold out theaters worldwide since the musical's 2000 debut.

Based on the beloved film and winner of 10 Tony Awards including Best Musical, Billy Elliot: The Musical Live is a celebration of one of the world's most popular and successful stage shows. A modern-day fairy tale of a young boy who exchanges boxing gloves for ballet shoes, Billy's story is set during the 1980's coal-miners' strike in northern England, where his determination inspires an entire community. An American in Paris Original Cast Recording Announced for Album Release


MASTERWORKS BROADWAY proudly announces the signing of the Original Broadway Cast Recording of An American in Paris. Produced by Rob Fisher and Scott Lehrer, the album will be recorded on April 20 in anticipation of a June 2 release. 
 
The score of An American In Paris includes the songs “I Got Rhythm,” “Liza,” “’S Wonderful,” “But Not For Me,” “I’ll Build a Stairway to Paradise,” and orchestral music including “Concerto in F,” “Second Prelude,” “Second Rhapsody/Cuban Overture” and “An American In Paris.”
 
An American In Paris is directed and choreographed by Christopher Wheeldon. Inspired by the Academy-Award winning film and opens on Broadway on April 12, 2015.  An American In Paris brings this classic tale to Broadway for the first time with music and lyrics by George Gershwin and Ira Gershwin and a book by Tony nominee and Pulitzer Prize finalist Craig Lucas.
